Leaning a little

I noticed that my runabout leans a little towards the drivers side. I assumed it was because I weigh about 230 lbs and am generally the only one in the car on my frequent trips. I tried a topic search and only found one thread. Seems that it might be caused by some shifting of either the front or rear spring. I get the sense that if I loosen the U bolts, lift the body and wrangle it I might be able to straighten things out.

So I realized today when I looked at the front spring that the two threaded bolts on the “front bearing and spring clip” are much longer and required spacers for me to tighten the nuts when I originally put my car together. So now I’m wondering if this clip is for a truck ... or if I have too few leaves. How many leaves were usually used on a ‘23 runabout?

My touring does the same thing.

You can add more spacers. Is the top of the nut holding your springs together correctly inserted in the hole in the front crossmember? Is the nut from the rear spring in the crossmember correctly?

Yes, the central spring bolt top is seated and I made a leather pad based on original specs. I’m wondering if that front spring clip is for a TT ... with about 3/4” more threads on the bolts.
