Model T day today
Jim Rodell put together a Bells and Whistles tour for us today. We stopped at a fire museum, Oktoberfest for lunch, an Octagonal barn, and train rides.
Weather was great and we all had fun. This fire engine was a Know 1912. They basically dropped an engine on top of a carriage. Ring the bell anyone? Just like a Model K engine block Ahrens Where are the horses?

Let me get this straight, it is 28 September, You are in Wisconsin, you got weather worthy of
sunscreen, you're out driving your T's, and we got snow all day ! Hmmm ....
That fire museum has quite the collection !

Brent, it also has the original Milwaukee fire alarm system in working condition - where you had a red box you opened and pulled the alarm.
Wisconsin is a great place to live. Lake Michigan keeps us warm and dumps the snow on Michigan.
1920 is the year of the ALF
Boxes Four wheel drive started in Clintonville (Livengood I think was the name)

Re: Model T day today
Those boxes are really neat. A local fireman, retired out on a fire-related injury for years
(poor guy was messed up) had a nice, complete Gamewell box on the wall in his garage. I
mildly tried to buy it from him, but it meant a lot to him, so I did not push it. Many years
later, I was doing some maintenance work a few blocks away from where the old guy lived,
and saw his red 69 MGB in an open garage, with a couple oldsters sitting there in lawn chairs
in the garage beside it. I approached and asked if the car was Dick's. They said "yes" and the
guy told me Dick was his brother. I asked what ever became of the call box Dick had, and
they gave it to me ! .... said they wanted to get it to someone who appreciated that kind
of thing. I have a LOT of Spokane Fire and Police alarm system hardware and was thrilled to
hang Dick's old box in my shop with the rest of the stuff. Dick was a cool old guy and knowing
it was special to him only adds to the appreciation.

In first or second grade I pulled one just to watch the fire engines. I never got caught.
