I'm preparing to overhaul my drive shaft, with the expectation of installing an adjustable modern drive shaft bearing assembly unless everything is miraculously in spec. It looks like there might be a few different choices between the different vendors, or maybe they just have different pictures of the same kit? I've looked at Chaffins, Langs, Snyders, Fun Projects-- can anyone recommend one over the others based on personal experience, or are they the same?

I recently bought a modern drive shaft bearing from Chaffin's. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Chaffin's makes there own. Only have about 1500 miles on mine, but it have been trouble free and I am happy with it. Mine is not adjustable and I do not beleive Chaffin's makes an adjustable one like Fun Projects. I have also heard good things about the Fun Project's Modern Pinion Bearings.

I believe Fun Projects makes the most popular drive shaft bearing setups that is used. I have have them in 2 of my T’s and is a definite improvement. There may be other brands that are used. Others will probably post on the subject.

The Fun Projects adjustable bearing works very well and is easy to install. Would certainly use it again.

I have installed 3 of the non adjustable types. Just follow the instructions.

I have maybe 20,000 miles on one of Chaffin's bearings with no trouble whatsoever

I have Fun Projects Non Adjustable ones in both of my T’s and absolutely no issue.
Being cautious that I am, I also kept the top end drive shaft Bush / thrust face set up as standard in the in the unlikely
event the locking collar came loose.
John Reagan advised me there is no need for the fidly adjustable type and as usual, his advice was 110%

Thanks for sharing your experiences. I'll note that everyone is happy with the choice they made. I hope that means this is a relatively low-risk project.

I'm eager to tear open the drive shaft and rear axle to see what I have, but I'm trying to squeeze in a few more nice drives before the rains start here in the Pacific NW. I've got the whole project planned thanks to all the great forum advice. Custom cradle and jack stands sitting by the side of the garage, waiting for the first week-long rain storm.

Since Ford made over 15 million cars with no problems to speak of, I will continue to use Fords methods. I have many thousands of miles on my cars, with no issues, and I'm using Ford script babbit front D.S. bushing up front with no problems either!

Guess if you have a supply of NOS or good original replacement parts, using them will be fine. For many that is not the case.
