Found this Bosch type DU4 mod 2 magneto tonight in a barn scheduled for demolition soon. Is it the type for model T Ford?

Yes, it could be used on a Model T and a myriad of other makes as well.

Yeah but, that is the nice early version with the clips-cover (as opposed to screws) and brass base. Along about the great war, the cover changed and the base and ends were made of aluminum. These were original equipment on quite number of brass era cars and trucks, as well as after-market and are still popular replacements for many brass era cars that had more temperamental makes of mags.
