I found free public parking a couple of blocks closer than what I've been using the last few years. The walk in is a little over half a mile. Would I walk over a mile to save $15 or whatever the current rip-off price is? Durn tootin. Every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

I don't think I'd pay over $400 for this.

Getting together at the MTFCA tent. I'm pathetic with names, so instead of giving a few names and a mess of question marks I'll let you ID yourself.

My laptop doesn't have the software for numbering everybody, so I'll do that when I get home and we can match names with faces.

In the first picture below the '17 Winton, On the far right is Charlie Gagel, next to him is Will Revaz, the man second from the left is Pete Ratledge.
The large group picture is kind of dark & hard to see the faces very well. That said, Susan Yaeger is in the back row, second from the right. Back row 6th from the right is Will Revaz, 8th from the right is Steve Jelf, 12th and 13th from the right are Brent and Nancy Mize, 16th from the right in the back row is Dean Yoder, front row, second from the right is Charlie Gagel & 4th from the right is Seamus Hnat.
That's as close as I can get unless the picure is brightned up and enlarged a bit.
Have fun!
Keith

I know a lot of you guys were fortunate enough to go to Hershey this year!
How many Model T's did you see for sale?
How many of those T's had SCAT cranks?
Thanks

I haven't been counting, but I've seen at least half a dozen T's for sale so far. Two more fields to cover today, so there are probably more. And then there's the car corral. I'm not shopping for another one, so I haven't been asking what's inside the engines.

Or you could get this later model and go fast.

Heading out with loot that included three very nice Hayes felloes for $1 each. A few minutes later disaster struck. One of the plastic wheels on my cart collapsed. I'll get some metal wheels for it before next year.

Ditto. And since MTFCA has a site on site in Hershey, it seems that MTFCA could send someone around to take T related pictures and post them on the MTFCA Forum. LOTS of pictures! How difficult would that be?TheSaintDiscJockey wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2019 9:30 pmThanks for taking the time to post and label these pics, Steve. The difficulty would probably be in finding somebody willing to spend the time. I take pictures as I'm walking around shopping. The thing is so big it takes me almost three days to cover it. I finally finished up at about 3:00 PM today, and I didn't spend a lot of time going back over territory I'd already covered. I expect somebody just going around looking for T-related shots, and not taking time for shopping, would still need at least a day to cover it all.

Speaking of projects...
1930 American Austin
At $30 each or two for $50 these were way overpriced. Running board luggage racks are probably the most common item at Hershey. They're everywhere. If I needed another one I wouldn't pay over $15, and it would have to be prime.
Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?
A parting shot of the MTFCA location...

Re: Hershey 2019 Photos
The difficulty would probably be in finding somebody willing to spend the time.
So very true...not only at Hershey, but in most all aspects of life...
"Drive thru" banks, beer sellers, food vendors, cash dispensers, wedding chapels - probably funeral homes coming soon. Folks are in W A Y too much of a hurry these days.
It is so enjoyable to take a ride thru the beautiful country while in a slow moving antique auto - especially a Touring with the top down. (except for those who left home too late for their date, and are wanting to pass on the double yellow- yes, I do pull over when I can).
We all will wind up pushing daisies (or weeds) someday...why the hurry and miss all that is so enjoyable - while it exists?
Thanks for taking the time, Steve....sorry about the wheels...."they just don;t make them like they used to"....I guess the factory can;t p[roduce good quality fast enough?
Cheers,
Dave

Later the pans were FREE. Even at that the last did not leave till late Friday. Worst year for traffic since I moved to the Chocolate Field. Too much not car stuff on my row. Next year I may just park there! If there is a next year. Dan

Thanks to Susan Yaeger for the excellent artwork. She makes me look good!
Susan is a great inspiration & motivator, Susan is the reason the museum is a great place to visit & promote the MTFCA, a great leader & a great person to work with, from all of the many volunteers who spend their time at the museum.

Right saw it Saturday in HPOF class.

Seeing the picture of that Lambert touring car makes me wonder how the one Don Booth was working on awhile back is doing?

As I said to you when I flagged you down and Hershey and introduced myself the time that you take for photographs and their documentation is wonderful. Even though I was there also I very much enjoy looking at your photos it almost puts us there with you and your Journeys.

OK. I'm home now and can identify a few more guys in the group picture above. On the far right in the back row is Russ Furstnow, the Speedmeter guy,
In the back row second from the left is Dave Simmering. In the back row third from the right is Phil Maurici. 9th from the right in the back row is Ken Le Feber.
Is that Tony Bowker kneeling down in front next to Seamus Knat? Tony, you have to confirm your id.
You guys have to help me with the others....

Re: Hershey 2019 Photos
Steve, Thanks for adding the identifying numbers.
I think I might know a couple more:
#4 might be Tony Wiltshire
#22 might be Bill Schwoebel
#8 kinda looks like Dennis Fleming
I invite the rest of you unidentified Model T'ers in the picture to please post your name to help complete this.
Thanks,
Keith

Re: Hershey 2019 Photos
Hello Steve and All,
I am number 22 in the picture kneeling next to Seamus last week at the MTFCA Forum gathering at the Hershey Swap Meet Flea Market. Better turnout this year than last year, the weather was perfect all week! It was great to see everyone.
Many Thanks, Bill Schwoebel

Re: Hershey 2019 Photos
I am #26.
It was great meeting Steve and the other MTFCA members.
I truly enjoyed my first trip to Hershey in 33 years.
Back then there was lots of mud.
Can’t wait for next year.

Hi Steve, I guess that's all the people we're able to identify & we can make the final name update. Thanks very much for your help on this.
BTW, who took the group picture anyway? Just wondering...
Thanks,
Keith

After two weeks that memory has faded.

Re: Hershey 2019 Photos
Steve,
Thank you for posting the photos. The one of the green 1928 Chrysler caught my eye. It looked familiar, so I did a little digging through some old photos and found this one. It was taken in around 1929 or 1930. From left to right are my mother Alma, my uncle Louie, my grandparents lifelong friend Francis, and my aunt Eva. I vividly remember Francis and her husband Adolph in the 1950's and 1960's. In particular I remember the fact that they always drove a late model Chrysler. Although the car in this photo is a roadster and the one in your photo is a coupe, as far as I can tell, they appear to be the same year and make. I was always curious as to how long they drove Chryslers. I now know the habit was a very long standing one.
P.S. I have no clue what that outfit my mother was wearing is all about.

Re: Hershey 2019 Photos
To answer the question "Who took the group picture anyway?" I did some checking around, and Brian Jordan took it. Natalie Weaver, Editor of the Model T Times, had been there earlier, but not when the discussion wound up and the picture was taken, so Brian did it.
Thank you, Brian!
Now just 4 more guys to identify.....

A Special Thank You to All for the postings of photos! I am currently unable to travel far with my Dad as he his getting up there in age. I know you folks understand and my day will come to meet you all. My Dad is my responsibility and I take it freely every day with love.
