Early aluminum intake manifolds

I bought an aluminum intake manifold at Hershey I’ve never seen before. The 1909-10 manifold was the dog leg style with the part number 512 cast in the back of the riser.
The next one is also aluminum, in the more traditional shape with the number 512 B2 cast in the outer section of the runner.
The one I found is the traditional style but with the large 512 cast in the rear riser. Anyone have one of these or know anything about it?

Kim

Your newly purchased with the large T512 is pictured exactly in Gail Rodda's books and noted as used from late 1911-1912.

Hi Dan and Kim, The aluminum intake manifold on my late 1911 looks like the photo that Dan put on. The numbers on it are T512B3.
I am sorry that I did not see you guys up at Hershey.
Pete

When Ford went to the cast iron intake, the interior dimensions were reduced..... perhaps to save $$$$ on expenses, or was it to limit engine power ??
I use the 1913 aluminum intake on our '26 Runabout, with a NH straight thru and I my estimation runs better than stock '26 parts.

The intake manifold on my car is the same as on Pete's. T512B3.

That is not surprising as our cars were made within a week and a half of each other.

Thanks Keith, I talked to John Regan last night. His take on the number”512” is that it was from another supplier. I would have thought it should be 512B.
