Crank I.D. ?

A friend's father used to own an early Oldsmobile. He wonders if this was from Dad's car?
I can't speak to the type of crank an Oldsmobile would have, but that one looks for the world like the one I have for an aircraft hand intertia starter. Inertia starters for airplanes were in use from the 1920's up through WWII.
