TT rims

Post by Rod Petrie » Mon Dec 02, 2019 5:34 pm

I bought these 20" rims to replace my rusted out ones but they are different. Do I need to add something or modify them for the valve stem? I don't think the valve stem should just stick up through the oval hole in the rim

The boss around your old valve stem sat in a keeper in your felloe to prevent the rim from spinning on it. Your new rims don't appear to be TT but should work okay as long as everything fits up as stock. You should weld in a similar boss on the new rims to act in the same manner as the originals.
