...in aerosol cans? This query isn’t ‘OT’ because that was the very best for painting Model T small parts. The I’Net says that Sherwin Williams bought Valspar for $9.2 B but they don’t carry this product. The I’Net also says that Lowe’s sells Valspar Project Perfect cans... but calling 2 stores I was told it was discontinued. Now we’re left with crap like Rustoleum and Krylon..

I liked that paint too, George, and am pissed that it's no longer available. You're right that the alternatives aren't nearly as good. The Rust-Oleum comes close, but the Krylon runs much too easily. The Valspar was great. I'm told that Valspar quit making it.

Sherwin Williams wanted Valspar for its sealant, stain, and varnish lines. That sounded like propaganda at the time to get past anti-trust but bit by bit as each month goes by, more and more Valspar former products seem to not be available from any of the good sized stores.
I was but half way through a project that would call for maybe 15 gallons of a Valspar product when that product was dropped, the suggested replacement, complete with so called factory specified mixing of color...didn’t even come close on body or color depth. SW answer is I should have boxed the last gallon with the new for a blend but they shrugged shoulders about the depth of color thing on the rest that is THAT obvious. Oh well, New day, fresh ideas....
