Just got back from our fall vacation trip. Somehow Model T Haven was almost directly on our route. And parking for the RV in Iola Kansas was only 12.50 per night with full hookups. So what could I do, I just had to stop by and say hello to Mark and see his stuff again ...

One thing of note to say, is that Mark was getting a large load of model Ts ready to ship to China. He was prepping 18 cars, mostly Model Ts and As , as well as a few early orphan makes for shipment to one customer in China. The Ames I showed in the earlier thread as well as the coupe I show in the pictures below are headed to China..... . (actually most of the cars I show in the earlier thread as well as this thread are going to China)

Here are a few pics I took this time. I really liked the coupe with the Gulf sign on the door, but it was already headed to China... Mark also had several trailer loads of stuff from Minnesota that are tarped down for the winter. He still has several loads of the Minnesota stuff to haul home, but it will probably be spring time before he can even unload the trailers... I guess another trip is in my near future ...

Here are some pictures of the treasures I bought this time.... Im mostly proud of the Stevens tools. Three of them are in original boxes. Mark allowed me "rock star" access to all his tools in his personal tool boxes as well as his private stash of tools. If I could find duplicates he would sell them to me. Since he does not "collect tools" I was able to buy the ones with the boxes from him. He still has several more tools with boxes that I hope to get later. Ill have to take him my tool with "no box" to trade for his tool "with box" and hope he wants to trade. ??? We had a great time last time we went and we had a great time this trip.

Good grief! Did you leave Mark's cupboard bare??? Is there a Model T Haven left??? I've heard of Chinese "Take Out", but I never heard of "Chinese Take Everything"! Where is this well-heeled Chinese buyer when I have something Model T to sell???

Sad to know so many good projects are headed to China. I am sure they are intended to be restored, cheap local labor may be able to do some very nice work for a Chinese collector. All in all, it may be a good thing.

Jealous of those Laurel brackets! I'd love to have a set for a future project.

Great find on the Stevens tools, I believe that jealous would be the correct word for me to use. If you have the time at some point, might it be possible for you to post a photo or 2 of the drive shaft sleeve puller? In particular the detail shown below; the piece that slips over the threads on the drive shaft and actually does the "pulling" of the sleeve.


I would definitely like to get some details for that little piece. I had some made for my puller and I am not sure that what I have is correct and I would desperately like to see an original.

the over engineered timer roller is from a Nelson Timer I just today bought some Model T parts and a Nelson timer was included

I will be away from the shop today,but I will get some pics and measurements of the sleeve puller part you are interested in.

Everyone does not need to worry about me getting all the good stuff. There is so much stuff there, a person could not even tell I was there. I just scratched the surface.

As to the cars headed to China. They did put a big dent in the "project car" stock of cars but there is always new stuff arriving.

Model T Ford in China? I wonder if the plan is to reverse engineer the car, and reintroduce it to the Chinese population? The model "chi"? Lol

I wonder how inexpensive they could produce it?

Nice score there, Donnie ! I have a portion of the Stevens T-185 tool for milling the axle yoke - be nice to locate or fab the rest. Although a small photo, here's my ANCO timer display with the "rotator" on the lower right on top of one of my cases - I'll take a better photo later.

Now that is a nice ANCO display board. I really like it.

Thanks for the info about the Nelson timer. Ill have to see if Mark has the timer next time I go visit.

pep-c, here are some pics of the sleeve puller and some measurements of the end cup piece. There must be a machined nipple on the end of the bolt that fits a hole in the end cup. I can not tell what size it would be. It also appears to be a swadge fit between the cup and bolt. My cup will not turn. It is a solid fit to the bolt. hope this helps......

Wow, not one, but two Brush automobiles (or most of each one)--are those going to China?? that Brush Chassis would be enough to resurrect the Brush that burned in the Camp wildfire.

David, I believe one Brush is 1909 and the other is 1911. The one with the body is 6500.00 and the chassis is 4500.00. The picture above the. coupe with Gulf sign is a large box of Brush parts and there was a pile of fenders and other Brush parts I did not get a photo off.

A lot of the current new piles of parts and more to come are from a hoard Mark bought. The story is years ago the previous owner took all his early cars apart and mixed up the parts in different locations to make it all look like a pile of "nothing" It is supposed to. have been because of a divorce. So now Mark has possibly dozens of cars , taken apart, and mixed up with other misc parts,to sort out and get back together.

Does Model T Haven still have the Aerocar? A friend nearby owned that car for a short time. It was a very interesting, original car. Alexander Malcomson formed Aerocar (competition to Ford) even while he was associated with Ford. He was ultimately forced out, selling his Ford stock for $175,000. Attached are a few more pictures.
