it is a 1935 / 1936 Ford rear end .

My first impression was it’s too long for a car. Any opinions on that?

My recollection is that 35/6 radius rods fasten closer to the bell than 33/4. I just looked at a 34 I have and believe what you have is a 33/4 rear end
