26 Touring Various Screws for Interior

Hello all,
I am trying to figure out the screw sizes and pitch on various screws that are missing on my 26 Touring. The screws I'm looking for are door latch, door cardboard panel and sill plates. Nothing I've tried seems to work in any threaded holes. Also, where would one find the clips in the door that holds the cardboard panel screws?
I'm guessing some of these are obsolete thread pitches?
Thanks,
Mike

I bought that set and it didn't fit any of the threaded holes. I'm looking into buying some self tapping screws from Bolt Depot. For the sills, should I use flat or oval slotted?
Thanks,
Mike

I am not aware that any of the thread sizes used on the body are anything but standard. Could be that someone in the past has retapped the holes or they need chasing/cleaned. If you don't have a set of taps might be a good time to get a set or at least the ones that are needed. Some places used fine thread some course. If the kit has a chart that tells what screws fit where, try a tap in that location that matches what was used.

My sill plates were 12-24 and the latch may be as well.

Thanks everyone! I must have some rusted threads and some old cross threading going on. It has an assortment of sizes for holes and screws....many missing screws and some oversized screws with nuts rather than being threaded into the metal. Will order an assortment of screws and see if I can make them look uniform and correct.
Cheers,
Mike

I can only speak for my Canadian 26, the door latch is 10 - 32, striker is 1/4 - 28, sill plate is 7/32 - 24.
The 10 - 32 looks very similar to the 7/32 - 24 the 10 - 32 is only .025 smaller than the 7/32. The taps and dies are still available for the 7/32 - 24 if you are familiar with KBC tools.
