1911 dash shield

Can someone explain or post a picture of how the dash shield is attached on a 1911 Touring? Thanks, Art
The arc piece goes on the firewall.
The flat piece goes on the leading edge of the top floorboard. They fit together like a Chinese puzzle...
Don't tell anyone, but on mine I silver soldered the two pieces together and attached them to the firewall like the style of the later years. I even put fake screw heads where the shield looks like it is attached to the leading edge of the top floorboard.
