Model t rear axle: Cad or detailed drawings

Post by Davey1916 » Mon Dec 02, 2019 11:55 pm

Hey all, I'm after a cad file or someone that has sketched up a detailed drawing for the rear drive axles. The only thing I have close to either is the image i've attached which I found on here.

Many thanks for any help

That drawing you have is pretty basic, and obviously lacks much needed tolerances. An interesting method of defining the taper across the entire length of the axle too... IIRC, it’s 3/4” per foot with centerline taper, can’t help you with gauge diameter, but know you need to keep pretty tight tolerance on the taper to maintain overall axle length

Just use the Ford Service book. You don't need drawings.
