Wishing Everyone a Very Safe and Blessed Holiday Season!
The Holidays can be rough on some of us whom have had losses in the past and present, or fighting health issues. You are not alone, you have friends in this community, do not be afraid to reach out. I went though a very rough time in my life years back when a drunk driver took my Mother, Brother and almost my Dad off this planet in a heart beat. I got though it because of friends! I am only sharing this to help another.
Everyone please have a Safe, Happy, Merry Christmas!

Bless you for such a lovely thought, Hank. You have captured the true values of Christmas in very few words.
May your experiences help us to appreciate how fortunate we truly are and to share with those who need a helping hand or heart.
Thank you for this.

That is a very heartfelt sentiment Hank,
Many times people who have never felt the sorrow of loss cannot fathom how those folks who have, feel around the holidays.
God bless you for the offer of friendship during others difficult time
Merry Christmas to All
Bill

It's too bad, and sad at that, that we have people in our society that don't feel this way!
Merry Christmas to all from a cold wet Southern California!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years! OK,maybe I'm a little too early for that? But thank you Hank for posting the kind and important thoughts. And yes, the holidays can be really hard for some -- especially depending on what they are going through or have gone through. Having folks that care can make all the difference. I know in my case, time was also a great help. After my Dad passed away, I would look at our Ts and the pain of his departure just hurt. And within six months or maybe a little longer, when I looked at our Ts or his tools, they started bringing back the good memories of the times we spent together. And now -- they are almost always the good memories that come to mind (and a few of those memories where I wished I hadn't done something etc....).
Again thank you for the encouragement.
God Bless,

We lost our oldest Daughter (age 36) in 2017 to Cancer. All of the Holidays are hard to deal with now, but especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. I am the only one left from my immediate family, two sisters, Mom, Dad and Grand Parents are all gone now. Thank you Hank, that means a lot. Dave

Hank,
Thank you for your profound words. We all need one another. When I hear of a friend who has experienced the loss of a close loved one I share these words: “May the pain of such a great loss be surpassed by the joy of the memories made and shared, sooner rather than later.” For each of us this time frame will differ and the emotional roller coaster works all too well. So know it is normal to take two steps forward and one step back from time to time, so be kind to yourself.
Merry Christmas to all,
Dom
