I had QualChrome out of PA do mine. They did all the nickel on my 26 Touring and it's holding up beautifully nearly 20 years (is that possible) later. Hope that helps.

I used Custom Metal Finishing out of Cambridge, City, IN to do my '27 radiator shell in "Bright Nickel". It turned out well and I was happy with it.

If you want nickel versus chrome, be sure to tell them.

Here's their website: http://www.chromeplatingin.com/

Qual Krom of Erie PA did an outstanding job nickel plating my 1926 radiator shell.

How about the head light rings, has any one had them replated also?

Have used A-W Custom Chrome. Eastpointe MI.
Excellent!. Just north of Detroit off I-94.
They did all our chrome on 1930 LaSalle & 1960 Cadillac Conv. Excellent job.

A friend has used "Paul's Chrome Plating" in Evans City, Pa with great results. I have not used them myself yet. They have a great website showing the process and how they rebuild and repair antique car parts. A visit to his website is worth the information provided.

I'm glad to hear of so many that have had good luck with nickel plating from a chrome shop. For those out here on the west coast, I used Christensen Plating in Huntington Park. They do the work for the Nethercutt Collection and others. I had the spark and throttle levers replated, as well as the steering gear case and cover over ten years ago. I only need to wipe the areas with a soft cotton cloth once in a while.

Bob Ore, owner of Qual Krom in Erie, PA, runs Qual Krom as part of his total restoration facility; so, as a restorer, he is particularly critical of details important to the restorer. He's done a lot of copper and nickel plating for me over the 30+ years that I've dealt with him. He's usually on the job at 3:00 AM 6 days a week!
