Period performance parts

One of the things that has really peaked my interest is the aftermarket performance modifications that existed back when these cars were being produced. The driving experience that we participated in last Fall included a Lang's catalog which includes some high compression heads which is cool to see but I'm looking for something deeper than a catalog page. Searching on the Internet for Model T performance parts finds all kinds of LS# V-8 hot rods with superchargers, disk brakes, and modern transmissions. Not really what I'm looking for. I'm looking for some books or articles about the state-of-the-art in the '20's for these engines. I'm not looking to turn a car into a '20's vintage death machine but a speedster with some umph (as a second T) would be nice.

Thanks,
Kevin

Grab these books off eBay or something. They have everything you are describing. Parts, suspension and body designs, engine tips and tricks, etc.

Hi Kevin,

Check the Technical Section at the Northwest Vintage Speedster website. Here is the link: https://www.nwvs.org/technical-reference/

There are some great articles in the Vintage Ford. I'll take a DO Gallivan, please!
