Valve Stem Comparison

Perhaps many of you have noted my discussions in the past about original Schrader and Dill valve stems. You may have also noted that I prefer an 888 which is not authentic to a 777 which is. I have noted in the past why I prefer the 888 to the 777. For the first time I'm posting and example of these two valve stems on original Pruden 30 X 3 wheels. The height of the felloe is the same front and rear, and of course the thickness of the rim is the same too. For those who have failed to note why I do this, the reason is weight, and balance. With the correct dust cover on the wheel it is not possible to see the difference, which is 1/4".

I use 724 and 725, the same size used on current metal stem tubes. Why the bigger stems? My dust covers happen to fit them.

Larry have you given any thought to using balancing beads.
They do work as claimed.

I have thought of using balancing beads, but don't know how. I really like the photo of the original Schrader valve stem comparison. I have never seen that one before. It is a real good piece to have.
