Autowa bodied Model T
Saw an Autowa bodied Model T this afternoon. A very nicely restored roadster body on a 26/27 chassis. It was manufactured in Ottawa, IL. Does anyone have any information / reference material for this vehicle?

There is a very good article in the May-June 2013 MTFCI magazine about a 1921 Autowa bodied Model T.

Re: Autowa bodied Model T
One of several old forum threads about Dan Treace's Autowa touring car when he was finishing its restoration. There is some general history, and pictures of another Autowa roadster being restored at the time. There was a recent thread about an Autowa roadster being restored coming up for sale. I do not know, but believe it may be one and the same car. Perhaps the one you saw as well?

Re: Autowa bodied Model T
The late Willie Cordes in Texas had an Autowa Coupe, which was at the Centennial in Richmond in 2008. I assume that his sons have it now., since they're avid Model T'ers.

Mike,
I believe that Willie Cordes had a Coupe Deluxe that was made in St. Louis.

Yes, that looks like it. It was a Coupe, but with a back seat.

Re: Autowa bodied Model T
If anyone is interested I posted about 35 pictures of my AUTOWA roadster in my personal gallery. Some when I bought it in 2008. Some from 1952,55,59,67,68,2008. Some thru restoration, reassembly, then when I sold it to Bob then he sold it to John Krug. I still have hundreds but only posted the highlights. Thanks for looking, Jim

Re: Autowa bodied Model T
It is a wonderful car and the only one I ever saw like it here are more pictures:

The upholstery is especially nice.
