Installing new roller timer

I have a new roller timer for my 25 4door. I have taken the old cover off and removed the nut and washer in front of the roller but the roller will not come off. Is there something I am not doing?

Turn the engine over slowly by hand and have a helper shine a light on the roller assembly. Soon enough, a headed pin like a precision nail will present itself and you pull that out. That aligns the roller to the proper timing on the camshaft and that is what that funny washer is keeping in place.

Mark or remember which way the old roller is pointed so that you can install the new one in the same orientation. Some camshafts have the hole for the pin drilled all the way through, so it is possible to install the roller 180 degrees out if you aren't careful.
