Installing a steering column support bracket on a 1915 firewall?

My 21 touring has a steering column support bracket that attaches to the dashboard. Soon I will be putting all the pieces back together on my 15 runabout restoration project, and saw that Snyders/Langs etc sells a copy of the APCO aftermarket steering column support bracket:

I was wanting to add one of these to my steering column installation, but looking at my 15 firewall though, it doesn't appear that there would be enough room to attach it without interfering that patent plate, and maybe some of the other structure. Does anyone with a 15 or 16 T have one of these steering column support brackets installed, and if so, would you please post a picture?

Thanks,

Neal

Thanks John. That looks more stable than mounting it to the firewall. I guess I'd just need to build up the nerve to drill a hole in my cross piece!
