Is anybody selling electric conversions for kerosene lights? Lang's doesn't stock them anymore.

I made my own for my taillight using a socket out of a marker light and a 28 volt aircraft bulb - hot from the headlight switch on the dash, and grounded next to the lamp. It was a matter of necessity - the '15 taillights have an anomoly in their design where if the wind catches it from the back of a touring body just right it will blow it out. Using the 28 volt lamp, it gives enough light to see it, and off the mag it has a flicker that looks like it still has a flame running it. The wire goes where the wick adjusting knob went...

My side markers are still kerosene... and they work fine.

I have a separate brakelight which runs off the battery...

I bought two of these for my cowl lights but haven't installed them yet.

They slide right in the burner hole fairly snug and the wires exit through the flame adjusting knob hole. Just not sure if they'll need a mounting screw and/or an additional wire to insure a good ground.
