Anybody know what this is?? It's on a C Cab TT a guy in Billings is getting ready to sell.

Right its not a Lincoln brand TT accessory.

It’s not a lincoln, as I have one on my Tt. I believe it’s a Fuller brand, made in Kalamazoo. Not 100% sure , but an educated guess. I had one 20 years ago, and was able to remachine it a bit to make it an overdrive. I’m starting to forget more than i remember.

Neat gizmo. Since it's for a TT, I would imagine it's a direct and over, but it doesn't say that anywhere I can find. Does anybody know for sure?

Yes, I know for sure they were under and direct. Very few original TT transmissions were OD. Pulling power is what was needed back then. I’m recalling now the one I had was in pretty poor shape. In my opinion, they were not built very stout compared to other brands. Surprising because the fuller company made a whole car before they shifted( pun) to the transmission line. They continued building transmissions way after the model T and A days, so they must have been reliable. Perhaps the one example I had might have had a million hard miles on it. That’s one reason I remade it as an overdrive unit. It was a challenge but worthwhile.

If you read the advert., you just cut the torque tube, the original driveshaft passes right through the unit. Also, no neutral, another good feature.

Fuller made a ten speed for big trucks. A lot of them ended up in International Diesels. At one point 60 years ago I was working for Northern Tank Lines hauling crude oil out of the Medora, North Dakota oil production treater sites. Several of the old worn out Kenworths had ten speed Fullers in them along with a two speed Eaton rear end or a Brownie aux trans. You could get out and walk around it and check your tires coming up the hills.
