OFF TOPIC, F.S. enclosed trailer

Post by Nate22huckster » Mon May 26, 2025 8:29 am

Sort of off topic, but sort of not. This trailer has been used to haul many brass era cars. It’s a 8’ x 20’ Jensen enclosed trailer. 6 lug axles, 2-5/16” ball, stored inside its whole life until may 2025. Roof does not leak, a few repaired spots on the body (last picture) that were well done, but overall in great condition. The door opening is 85” wide x 76” tall. Sold as is. Wooster Ohio. $4000 or best offer. Please contact me through the forum.

Nathan,

Nice looking trailer. Some questions:

How much does it weigh?
Does it have brakes?
If so, brakes on one axle or two.
Does it have inside lighting.
What kind of tie down system?
Does it have a winch?
If not are there provisions for a winch?

Regards,

Bill,

I do not know the weight of the trailer
It has brakes on both axles
It has two interior lights
It has 4 e-tracks mounted to the floor
It does not have a winch, but there is an access door on the front of the body that can open up. If you mounted a winch to the tongue the cable could pass through the access door???

Nathon,
It seems wrong to me to have the towing hitch BALL mounted on the trailer instead ol the towing vehicle. Is that an American idea ?, We down under have our ball on the vehicle....n

In the the seller’s description, saying “2-5/16 ball” implies that the hitch on the trailer requires a 2-5/16 ball on the tow vehicle. The first two photos clearly show a normal hitch on the trailer.

Nathan,

One more question. What is the width between the wheel wells inside the trailer. It is critical for me since I have a southern wide track car.
