Model T Collection
Most of the cars/trucks are complete and running when he acquired them. All have been up on blocks with fluids drained. These are the first two that I have removed from storage. A ‘15 touring and a ‘27 TT. The touring came from a small museum in Michigan. It looks to be a combination of cosmetic restoration and very nice original. I drove this car a few years ago and it ran very well. The TT came from Oklahoma and has excellent sheet metal. The engine looks to have been rebuilt but I have no supporting evidence that it was. Also has a Ruckstell. I have driven it and it also ran well.
In time I will get the rest of the vehicles out of storage and into the open for photographs. These include a ‘26 Roadster PU with Ruckstell, Warford, Fatman, and Rocky MTN brakes. A ‘26 touring project which appears to be very complete but disassembled. A ‘26 Fordor that looks very nice and has a Ricardo head and fatman. The original glass is included but not installed. John was going to replace all with safety glass but time ran out. Body is very nice. A ‘22 TT that looks to be very nice, complete, and most likely a drivable truck as is. Can’t get to it yet but looks very good. A restored ‘22 touring that looks very nice. Has new rubber and split rims. I drove it a couple years back and it purred like a kitten. A ‘19 - I think touring with the back half removed and a pickup bed added. This is another project that seems pretty complete but it’s buried at the moment. A ‘14 roadster that needs restoration but is in fantastic condition - body is gorgeous. Looks to be very complete and should run. There are two more TT’s to be identified. One has a wood cab the other is a complete chassis. Both entities appear to be quality items. I just have not tried to get to them yet.
A number of horns, a lot of period spotlights, steering wheels and spiders, a very slightly used Rocky MTN large drum set up, a brand new disk bake system for small drum still in the box, and piles of smaller goods as well.

Hello all, I had intended to respond to everyone individually but I will not be able to keep up. Here are some pictures of the ‘26 RPU. The body is mostly sound but there is some blistering in the rear cab corners. Paint is presentable but amateur. Asking price is $13,000

The ‘14 roadster. Sheet metal is fantastic. Appears to be a combination of minor restored and excellent original. No top covering but brand new bows and posts.

Re: Model T Collection
Thanks to all for the excellent response. I apologize for occasionally being a bit late answering questions. I’m 30 minutes away from the collection and I don’t get there everyday.
The disc brake system has been spoken for. There is a large drum Rocky Mountain system still available.
I’ve had numerous requests for pricing on the ‘14. We will work on that next week.
In the meantime my wife and I plan to get away for the holiday weekend and close out what has been a beautiful Wisconsin summer.
See you next week,
Dave

I sold John a few parts over the years and talked with him on the phone a few times. I was really sorry to hear he had passed, he visited like we were old friends. I too am a Vietnam vet dealing with some Agent Orange issues but so far am doing OK with them. Good luck taking care of his collection. Dave

Disk brakes have been spoken for. Rocky Mountain kit looks like it was installed at one time but never used. Only wear is scratched paint. $715. (That’s what John paid for it last year and it never left the box)
The ‘14 roadster or runabout if you prefer is $11,000. Again, I’m not looking for profit and there is no commission, only trying to recoup the investments.

Re: Model T Collection
Today we unwrapped the other TT which I mistakenly called a ‘22. It is a 24 and looks to be in very good shape. Lots of dust on the fenders and hood but what I could see was very straight. A Texas truck that I’m told ran very well. It has a Ruckstell and the engine looks rebuilt. I was in a bit of a hurry taking pictures and until I reviewed them I didn’t realize that it had a single coil and I assume a distributor. I’ll explore that next visit. John paid $12,000 for it.
The ‘26 is still in the trailer that brought it to John’s house. I’ll do what I can to take pictures of it and the TT chassis next week.

Dave,
Thank you for all of the great pictures of the cars you are helping John's family sell, and thank you for doing what your are doing to help them. What is the best way to connect with you? There have been several questions posted on this forum about the cars; what is the best way to connect with you if someone is ready to buy one of these cars or has some more questions?

Hello all, if someone needs to talk to me my cell is 920-360-9546
I’ll dig out the TT with the wood cab and spare chassis next week. I may roll the ‘26 out of the trailer for pictures - if I can get it back in again. The buildings are beyond full. John had a business that built, rebuilt, and/or restored horse drawn vehicles. Everything from sulkies to surrys to stage coaches went through his shop. There are mountains of carriage parts, wheels, and assorted buggys.

I unwrapped the two TTS in the barn this morning. The bare chassis looks very good. Has new tires on the rear. Would be a great builder. The wood cab truck seems to be all there and is still up on air but needs a lot of love. $2500 package deal for both.

Re: Model T Collection
Most cars are still available although lots of interest. Special thanks to John Steele for stepping up, and to Mark Chaffin for spreading the word, And to Rich, who I am certain, will enjoy a couple of the TTs. There are lots of what Mike Wolfe would call “smalls” but all loose parts are black era and later. The ‘14 is the earliest car in the collection (but also probably the one with the greatest potential). There are no brass era treasures to be found.
At the risk of repeating myself like a scratched record, the prices quoted are what we believe John paid. I have no skin in the game, I’m doing what I can to help his wife. My only reward is knowing that my friends treasures are finding a new and worthy home. Please don’t send me “will you take this or that”. Not my decision to make. Any negotiating must be done face to face and in good faith with the owner. I’ll help in any way I can.
The cars and trucks are not in or close to my shop. I can’t go through each and every one to get them running/drivable, but if you come to look at a vehicle, I’ll do as much as I can to help you get them/it going. I have 40 years of “T” experience.

I am 14 and just bought a 27 Touring. I cant afford new RM brakes and because I am new to the hobby, I have no idea what to offer.

Re: Model T Collection
I am interested in purchasing the 14 and I also have some questions about the 15 touring car. I've tried calling you several times with no luck when is the best time to call you or is it best dealing with the lady owner of the cars?

Re: Model T Collection
Hello all, I have been, and will continue to be on a hunting trip for at least 10 more days. Virtually no coverage unless I get up high, like I am now. All of the cars are still available, only a couple trucks have found new owners.
Unfortunately I have been bombarded with calls from foreign entities which I do not care to deal with. Too many horror stories out there for me to have any trust. If the guys from Spain, France, Scotland, or the Netherlands are really interested, I suggest you coordinate with an American agent or club member to work for you. The rest of the countries don’t deserve mention. I will not take chances with someone else’s property, and would most definitely rather deal face to face.

Don't wait!
Dave wish You well. Please ask Your Doctor about "Remdesivir" it's the Covid-19 treatment that turned the Presidents condition around. Don't wait for this to get better on its own. the first five to ten days are critical in getting treatment started regardless of what drugs they prescribe for Your condition. Praying for Your speedy recovery.
Please be Proactive in Your treatment. Take care Jim

Re: Model T Collection
Thanks everyone for your well wishes. I’m about 95% recovered from the Covid illness. Still working on my endurance but every day is better.
We did sell a couple trucks and some parts over the last couple months, but now the owner has accepted a fair and generous offer from a gentleman for the entire remaining group of vehicles (9) and parts.

To save you guys with questions some time, the poster mentions in his last post that all 9 vehicles and parts were sold to one party.
