Hi,
Can you tell me more about the history of the car?
Has the body wood been replaced?
Has the engine and magneto been restored?

Hello, first off I am posting this for my dad. This car used to belong to a founding member of our T club. He did everything by the book. He was one great Model T man. He had it for 29 years until his passing. Now my dad owns the car. T he car is solid as far as the wood goes. Everything has been done to the car, it's a great runner.

1924 or 1925, not 1923.

This car appears to be a 1924. The tires are 30 x 3.5 and there is a skirt below the high radiator .

I know it's a 24 it has always been titled a 23 for what reason I don't know.

Mine has an Aug. '23 build date and it has the high radiator and apron.

An August 1923 build would be a 1924 model.

I think the switch to high radiators was in July 1923

Hi, Darel -
The serial number would indicate a built date of Aug 24, 1923. It was sold new on Sept 22, 1923, to Albert Meyer of Defiance, MO bought it and paid cash for it. The model year on the original title is 1923. The second owner bought it from Albert Meyer on March 15, 1961, according to the dates on the back of the original title When Albert signed it off. Serial number on the engine in the car is the same number as the one on the title. There is a ton of documentation for this car, I've never had a car with this much stuff.

Wouldn’t be the first Model T that was titled the way it was. Probably what happened it was titled as a 23 because of the build date by the salesman or dealership not thinking it was the next years car. I’ll bet there is a few more titled that way if they survived all these years.
