1915 Roadster - Stolen in Early December 2020

Post by gary80005 » Thu Jan 28, 2021 2:30 am

A 1915 Roadster and enclosed trailer was stolen in the Golden, CO area in early December 2020. The car had many identifying features. McLaren wheels, ruckstell, overdrive and was missing the engine, radiator and hood. The trailer was an uncommon Teal color. The thieves just drove off with the trailer and it hasn't been seen since.
If someone approaches you to purchase a vehicle as described above, please contact the police and then me. This car was left to two young women when their father passed away a few years ago. Their father was a past president of the Mile High Chapter of the MTFCA and a long time National member. Any help finding the car will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, I helped his daughters with pictures I had of the vehicle. I've been watching Craigslist but haven't seen anything. The vehicle and trailer would be very easy to identify. I think the overdrive is from a Rambler. IT is inline and not a Warford.

They probably just wanted the trailer. area junk and salvage yards might be a good place to look for the car. also Hemmings motor news. antique automobile club of America and other classic car auction houses and antique auto sales. Crooks like enclosed trailers to hide their contraband often dump what ever is in them just so they have a empty trailer. it won't help get the car and trailer back this time. But roof numbers make a trailer easy to spot from the air and surveillance cameras. even the smart crooks don't check the roof out. also there are a number of nationwide tracking system like tile and others that provide a measure of protection. If it hasn't been done yet talk to members of His car club and see if they know of anything that might be helpful. hate to say it but often it turns out to be a family friend or someone that knew about the stolen property. Good Luck

Hope they get caught and hope you get the car back. I know we will all be on the lookout.
