A very interesting Touring. I notice only one sill plate on the front door openings and it is wider like a rear sill plate. Art

Good eye. Yes there is only one sill plate on the car as it should be. The non-opening driver's side fore-door covers that sill. The fore-doors that Kim mentioned are the correct fore-doors for the car, not accessory.
This amazing car was built about two weeks before my car was built and there are a lot of similarities. Besides the factory fore-doors, the car has E&J "no name" headlamps, and the firewall is solid, without outer veneers.
I studied the original upholstery of this car and used the dimensions when I made the upholstery patterns for my car. On cars of this era, the underside of the seat cushions are covered with hardboard and artificial leather.
I have a skillion photos of this car and although it no longer has the original color and the top was replaced very early on, it is otherwise mostly original. This very nice late 1911 car has the provenance to go with it.
I hope Kim finds a good caretaker for this automobile and hope that the next steward reaches out to me so I can share what I know about this car.

I would like to know more about this car being a gift from Henry Ford and what documents support it. That story alone should sell this T. Art

Re: FS original 1911 model T Touring
This car is a part of Ford Motor Company history.
I hope you don't take offence, but....... Is everyone asleep?
When this finally sells and ends up overseas, we should all join the " What was I thinking club"

Price reduced to 30,000.00. This is a real quality car with a great history! I have not started the car, it has good compression. It was used by the family on tours and camping trips. It was parked shortly before the owners passing, always stored indoors. I am selling the car as a favor to the family.

I found a set of original 1911 side curtains that would go perfect with this car. I would be willing to sell them to the new owner. A very unique car with all the accessories and history!

Re: FS original 1911 model T Touring
Kim,
I did a little research on the car and confirmed what you stated.
First according to the 1921 DMV records it was owned by W F Markham on 1435 Vine St Hollywood. Second "Captain" William F. Markham owned Markham Air Rifle Company the first air riffle company to make money. It was actually a competitor of Daisy when they started making their riffle across the street...
Evidently in the early 1920s he moved to Hollywood and had three cars in 1921. Neat history with this car!

Wow Matt great research! Yes it's an amazing find!
I'm still left scratching my head. Other than a coat of paint sometime in it's history. Everything on this car is right from the factory!
