FS SUPER NICE 1925 BOAT-TAIL SPEEDSTER

Post by Henry K. Lee » Sat Jun 26, 2021 8:36 pm

This was a labor of love building from a scrap pile at my Dads in Montana. Over 20 years of collecting parts, multiple design changes until I was pleased. It is a fun one for sure.

ENGINE:
-0.030 bores, standard topped pistons
-Dunn weighted EE crank with 0.010/0.010 on mains and rods (dippers installed on rods)
-Stainless Steel valves with hard seats
-Adjustable tappets
-280 Stipe cam
-Inside/outside oil line
-New radiator
-Thermostat with water pump
-Auto-Dis distributor modified with a Mallory dual point head and Mallory coil (12 volt)
-Wosh 12 starter
-Tim Morsher awesome Rajo oil fill extention
-12 volt single wire alternator
-Dual exhaust manifold
-Modern Winfield intake with a Zenith Carburetor
-Reeder Z head

TRANSMISSION
-Balanced flywheel with 8 paddles for force oiling
-Balanced triple gears
-Ball bearing forth main
-Kevlar demountable bands
-Jack Rabbit clutches
-Outside band adjusters
-Transmission upper oil filter
-Tim Morsher awesome Rajo oil indicator

AUX TRANSMISSION
- Aluminum case old school Warford with everything new as possible.., Very strong

REAR END
-Big drum with Rocky Mountain Brakes
-3:63 to 1 Brand new gears
-Safety hubs
-Adjustable pinion bearing
-Thrust needle bearings
-Hardened bearing sleeves on the inside

SUSPENSION
-Front 2 1/2" drop axle
-Relaxed front leaf spring
-Dual Hassler shocks
-Vega steering box

-Rear reverse eye leaf spring
-Handmade Z bars for drop
-Dual Hasslers shocks

BODY
-20/19 gauge sheet metal hand formed by me from the firewall back (Took 18 months to form it and the removable roof)
-Black walnut where can be seen
-Adjustable custom love seat
-A lot of misc chrome
-8 1/2 gallon hidden fuel tank with separation bulk head
-Removable hard top with stands to keep of the ground
-Battle ship linoleum floor

And this and that, and more and more! No disappointments, it does have a little nick here and there, with a few very un-noticeable flaws, but it is a car. If you are to be frank..., Fat, you will not fit except with the top off. If you are real tall like around 6'1" and over, without removing the top, it is tight on the head room.

I am thinning the herd so to say with other cars in my collection I wish to play with now. Contact by email only p.h.leecoburntown@gmail.com

Price...., $39,999.99. Whom ever purchases, must come for pick up, no overseas transactions.

All the Best,

Hank

What a great car. It is hard to find something that has had a lot of honest, quality, and logical thinking behind its build. The new owner will be privileged indeed. A fantastic speedster that can be used for a variety of events.

Wow, just wow; the speedster is stunningly beautiful, and its beauty eclipsed only by the superb quality of your hand work and mechanics.
