1924 Touring - Ready for Tours - NO LONGER FOR SALE
A family crisis is forcing me to sell my 24 Touring.
This car needs nothing mechanically. A great deal of time, effort, money and parts have gone into making this a very reliable driver. Everything mechanical from the front axle to the rear axle (including the axles) have been repaired or replaced by either me or Ross Lillker.
The body has some of the best patina I've ever seen. It's wearing factory paint and is completely rust-free due to spending decades in a west Texas hay shed.
I drive this car weekly, in traffic, on the interstate frontage road....all over....and it's a pleasure to do so. If $15K falls into my lap, I won't sell this sweet little car.
Here's a partial list of some of the things that have been done to the car.
- Berg's radiator (new)
- Fan Pulley (new...modern bearing version)
- Fan Arm (NOS)
- Tires, Tubes and Flaps (new)
- Front axle (straightened, reemed, new kingpins, new perches, excellent used shackles)...all by Lilleker.
- Front spring (new)
- Engine and Transmission (refreshed by Ross Lillker...aluminum pistons, new valves and lifters, Babbit was excellent except for rear main which Ross replaced, trans drums turned, Kevlar bands installed, new clutch spring, new clutches, new low speed pedal notch....and a lot more)
- U-joint (new)
- Driveshaft (excellent used one procured from Hank Lee
- Pinion Bearing (new...modern type)
- Carb (newly rebuilt NH...graciously given to me by Mike Hanson)
- Generator (newly rebuilt from Anderson)
- Wiring (all new)
- Rearend (rebuilt by me with new thrust washers)
- Rear brakes (new)
- Horn(s) (factory horn works great....also added a Model A style ahooga horn)
- Trans/Brake lever (rebuilt by me...new pall....new sector)
- Wheels and rims (excellent used set procured from Dave Hansen)
- Floorboards (new...from J Anderson....made to look old)
- Body wood (most of it was good, what was missing or rotten, I've replaced...still need one door wood kit)
- Glass (new laminated safety glass)
- Seat Springs (4 new seat springs....from Snyders)
- Gas Tank (new...from Rootlieb)
- Steering gears (new)
- Spark Plugs (Champion X's)
- Top Bows (gorgeous patinated set, with beautifl solid old repairs, bought from Dave Hansen)
- Brake Light (kit from Langs)
- Coils (6 coils, 4 in use...2 spares....all professionally rebuilt)
- Coil Box Kit (new...from Fun Projects)
- Top (very nice used top...in the box, stored in the AC...needs to be installed)
- Top padding and Straps (new...still in the box...needs to be installed with the top)
- ECCT. I'll throw in my ECCT. It's amazing....keeps the car tuned up great.
- Many new and spare parts included...too much to list....but here's a few: (needle and seat sets from Scott Conger, 8 day clock, tons of tools, rim spreader, jack, etc)
And soooooo much more. I run this car for hours, in the Texas heat and can't make it overheat. It draws a crowd wherever it goes. It's like you're with Elvis. The patina is hard to describe...it's amazing....you have to see it in person to appreciate it.
The interior needs finishing and the top needs to be installed....and that's it.

Price reduced to $12,500.
Send me your phone number or email and I'll send you a video of it running at speed down the I-45 frontage road....or running in modern congested traffic in the 95 degree Texas heat.
