1922 Touring for sale. Titled as a 1922 based on engine number, but it has a one-man top so I believe the car dates to late 1922 as model years changed.
The car is in great shape but hasn't run for several years. Stored in a closed garage. I installed floating hubs from Birdhaven along with new driveshaft and new axles when I rebuilt the rear end - but new owner might want to check the rear end for safety's sake to ensure the work was done correctly (I am a shade-tree mechanic...). It has a large-drum Ruckstell rear axle. There is a "belly band" under the motor.
The car has no magnets on the flywheel, but has oil slingers. It runs a distributor and has an Optima Red-Top battery. For safety in the garage I installed a master cutoff switch which completely isolates the battery. It has a Fun Projects voltage regulator. I have the front and rear bumper irons. Five new tires were installed when I got the car, they have been driven less than 100 miles.
The interior upholstry is perfect and the top was only recently installed. Both front and rear floormats are present.
The car's name is Popeye - you can see why if you look at the headlights. I have never seen another car with those headlight lenses. They are one-of-a-kind. The car came to me from Royce Peterson.
This car will run and run well, but it has set in the garage unmoved for almost three years. It will require a fuel tank and carburetor clean out.
The car is located in Fairfax County, Virginia.
Text or call my cell number: 7-oh-three-four-7-7-five-two-9-4.
Asking $8,500 - or make me an offer I cant refuse...
