From 1908 to 1927 Henry Ford produced 15 million Model T’s. This car was the 126,713th produced and was built in May of 1912.

Its original 4-cylinder 20 horsepower engine is still powering this car. Its transmission is the standard T Planetary 3-pedal operation. The leather interior is new. With its electric starter, distributor instead of coils, rocky mountain brakes and alternator, this “T” is set-up for touring. It has an optional Ruckstell rear end which allows for a lower gear to climb hills while the motor is in high gear for faster speed.

One of the most welcome designs of the 1912 Ford touring car is the addition of front doors which are detachable so that they may be removed should the owner desire. The picture shows the “T” without its front doors. The doors and side curtains come with the car. This “T” runs great, but the speedometer doesn’t work and the brass needs polishing. This special “T” was priced $38,900 or best offer. Priced reduced to $32,900 or best offer. Car is ready to enjoy! Call 860-510-8318.

Im familiar with the car, formerly owned by Lou Parmalee of CT. 1912 was a crazy year for Ford, and they made many changes to the body thru the year. This is a later '12 and has the smooth sided body and its rear doors are front hinged, opening from the rear, unlike cars earlier or later. It has its original 12 engine, but with a later transmission cover and ring gear on the flywheel. The alternator is a belt driven bolt on unit. The Ruxtell has 3:1 gears. Its a good running and unusual car.

When I lived in Connecticut I toured with this car when it was owned by Lou Parmalee. My 1912 touring is # 126766. This car is # 126713-only 53 numbers apart from mine!!! Somewhere I have photos of our 1912 tourings parked together on various tours. This is a great car.
