1916 Model T Touring For Sale $11,800 OBO ***Check Listing, Price Lowered***

Post by Lcjudge » Tue Nov 12, 2019 1:42 pm

After doing a bit of investigating into Model T sales, I've lowered the price on my T to reflect the market.

I've decided to sell my 1916 Touring and purchase a different T.

Here's some info on the car I have for sale. This car is an original vehicle, not one pieced together. Engine, transmission, frame, fenders, running boards, floor boards, kick and door panels, seat covers, coil box, etc, etc, etc are all original to the car. The top was replaced several years ago. The radiator on the car was replaced as the original would over heat after running for 15 to 20 minutes. The radiator on it is perfect. The original radiator, which is in nice condition, is available if the buyer of the car wants it. It is in the possession of the owner of the '16 and he said he would sell it. I put a water pump on it to keep it from overheating when I drove it in a few summer parades. You can take that off if you desire. The seat covers are a bit ragged. The kick and door panels are nice. The wood in the car is very solid. All lines are straight, doors shut solid. Nothing needed in that regard. The car runs nice and I've probably put on a couple thousand of the 5000 or so miles showing on the speedometer. I would suspect those are the original miles on the vehicle. There are a few minor dings, dents and pecks on the vehicle. Nothing major but this is an original vehicle with out body work performed on it. No rust out on it. When I got the car the mag was very strong (coils would buzz better on the mag than a battery). The last time I drove it the mag cut out some. It probably needs some minor adjusting. Bands need adjusting as well. I used to have my old friend Ted Aschman help adjust the bands on my T's but since he's no longer with us I'm not as astute on doing that as I should. You'll need to do that although they still operate OK. Wheels are original and excellent. Tires are good. The engine does not have a starter. As I mentioned, this car is as close to the day it rolled off the assembly as you'll probably find. It usually starts easily with a 1/4 turn of the crank. The previous owner wanted it to look a bit better and finished the body off in the old time Ditzler black primer. Its got a little sheen to it and gives it an original look.

If you want a car that is complete, has nearly all its original equipment and parts, runs nice, looks good and is a great deal of fun to drive and play with, here's your chance.

I'd like $11,800 OBO.

You can text, email or call. I welcome you to come and look at the car in person. I'm about 50 miles south of Louisville and a few miles east of I-65. Its been stored and is a bit dusty but will clean up and look just like it does in the photo below that's about 5 years old (this photo was made during one of my campaigns, thus my sign sitting on the side of the car).

Will try to get some additional photos. The T is in a building and I'll have to move things to get to it. Thanks.
