Re: 1912 Touring on HCCA Classifieds
I noticed that over 300 members looked at this thread and no comments.
I was hoping to get a lesson on early Ts regarding what's original and what's not.
Maybe a lot more photos needed?
No interest other than that.

Appears in quite original condition other than added demountable rims & perhaps a battery box on running board - might also have added engine compartment venting through both side of the hood ?

It had its front doors back in 1938. Where are they now?

Re: 1912 Touring on HCCA Classifieds
I bought this car from the De La Cruz family. They had owned it since the 1930's
They showed me photos of the car they took in 1938, with the original wheels & foredoors on it .
Joe De La Cruz was pictured in the car with his good friend Leo Carrillo .
The garage where the car was stored for a number of years was condemned & torn down ,
I'm guessing at that time the wheels & doors were probably junked .

Re: 1912 Touring on HCCA Classifieds
Yeh too bad for those "Buick wannabe" portholes in the hood! Rear end is original. From my phone I can't get a good look. Be nice if the original could box and switch are there. Should be a Heinz. Brass windshield support rods look to be painted black or it's the worst case of tarnish I've ever seen. Of course of question is the condition of the radiator, and if the engine needs the usual full workover. Regardless, a good price. Too bad it's so far away.

Re: 1912 Touring on HCCA Classifieds
I assume that is B141, those were made in 1912 and 1913 at a different plant. the numbers run from B1 to about B12,500. Modet BJ number Ts are 1913 models, at least the one in Minnesota that has a b number around B350 and is a 1913 style. It was original registered in 1912 as a 1913.
