NOS AIR

Post by ThreePedalTapDancer » Sat Apr 01, 2023 1:57 pm

I have a limited quantity of 1920s era correct air for sale. I had an old tube that I removed from a petrified tire, and it was still full of air. The tire was stored since the late 20s. The tube unfortunately started to leak once removed, so I decided to run around and capture the vintage air in some small mason jars. It is a must for that correct restoration, and also to silence the annoying purists at the next show. Air removal from the jar the responsibility of buyer. 20.00 per jar plus shipping.

Great idea ED. I am thinking of marketing genuine Canadian spring water for Model Ts as apparently "spring water never freezes", so you can use it all winter and save buying anti-freeze. Shipping might be an issue though........

LOL!

A long time ago, I saw an interview with someone who had visited White Sands, NM and brought some of the sand home with them in a jar.

They said that the ranger told them that the sands were expanding and they said they had proof because they had to dump some of the sand out of the jar every few years, otherwise it would break from the expanding sand. :)

You guys need to be very careful of this opportunity. You should be aware that under the beliefs of homoeopaths, all the air on Earth contai s traces of that air that was present in the 1920's. You are wasting money just to get a more concentrated version.

Do you have any plans to offer NOS 1920's water? My T only cools well with original water.

How about some NOS smoke, captured as it escaped from original Model T wire harness just before the electrical system failed. Obvious that if the smoke was reinstalled carefully, the electric system would work again. A similar product has been marketed by Lucas suppliers for use in the dreaded "Prince of Darkness" systems used in vintage British cars. That product probably wouldn't work in Model T's as it is for 12 v systems.

"20.00 per jar?" That's inflation for you.
When did I do that?

Back in 1980 after Mt. St. Helens blew, you could buy small vials of ash in the tourist shops. Or... you could scoop it up by the shovel full in the parking lot of the same shop :o

Ed do you know if the air is from a tire with the red tube or the black tube? I have original white smoothies and I don’t want them to turn yellowish. As you can see on the profile picture I bought some original air from another vendor and it started to yellow my tires. I ordered some tire paint to paint them white again, which was expensive, the maker was Barn or Barns white paint based on the label.

I told a friend about your add. ( he's into antique British motorcycles ) He wants to know if you have any period correct British air? He already
has Lucus & Miller smoke. ( Lucas prince of darkness & Miller king of darkness ) I heard once that Lucas had the contract for the electronics
for the space shuttle. Do you supose if there was a question about the electrics they had to do a space walk & wave their hand in front of the
headlight to check? I asked a British gentaleman one day if it was true that the British drank warm beer because they had Lucas refrigerators
He asked how that taxation with representation was working out for us.
Craig.

Lucas gets a bad rap but they invented the four posision switch ON, OFF, INTERMITENT & DEAD SHORT which gave us the intermitent windshield
wiper.

I had a jar of NOS air at my space in Bakersfield and Tulare, never even got a question much less an offer.
(I am not smart enough to post a photo, or I would)
So the present value of NOS air is $0.00, based on market research
