What happens if you run one with the smaller float and a 26/7 gas tank?

It works but they started using a slightly larger float because of increased fuel pressure from the cowl mounted tank. I’ve never had a cowl mounted tank, so I say they work, but I figure since they only make the smaller floats and I’ve never heard much discussion about them not working.

Robert

the viton is a more certain seal than the original metal on metal seal (which was very good when new). Smaller float shouldn't be a problem, but it is always a good idea to make use of the sediment bowl shut-off for stops of any length and for sure, storage of the vehicle. Gravity feed systems are 100% fallible. It's just a matter of when and not "if".

Thanks for the info. I rebuilt my sediment bowl as well as got another shut off valve for near the carb.
