WTB: 4 into 1 exhaust header

Post by Tmodelt » Wed Apr 22, 2020 10:32 am

I am looking for a 4 into 1 exhaust header for my 26/27 racer project.

I would prefer one where I could attach a collector pipe and run underneath the car to exit the back.

Plans and/or drawings would be acceptable also as I have a local muffler shop that does custom work

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Red's Headers made and offered a header for Model T's at one time, but the demand was low and they quit making and stocking them. I contacted them and they said if demand and orders were great enough, they could do it again.

Red's is still listing a Model A header on their website. http://reds-headers.net/index.php?main_ ... cts_id=145
Since there is an adapter plate for using Model A intake & exhaust manifolds on a T, is there a way for Red's header to work or be modified to?

I would be up for one if Red's started making again, I will call them. They just changed owners. I need one for my speedster/racer

I have the plate from Dan M. on here to weld a set up, but far from getting to trying it.

Any header make for a Model A should work, especially id the adapter plate that is sold by vendors to adapt a Model A intake and exhaust is used between the block and header flange. Snyder's listes a Model A header in their catalog, too. I don't know if its the one Red's makes.

I have the Red's model A header hanging in my shop. I will mock it up on my speedster frame and take a couple pics. Would you guys rather start a new thread out of the classifieds? I don't like the idea of a adaptor. There are enough gaskets and such in that area without one.

I started a New Thread in the General Discussion Forum under "Headers for a Model T" to continue- My interest isn't just 4in1 but Lakeside or a vintage look.

Kim, I have a header that came off a Model T speedster project that I sold.
I’m having trouble posting a photo. Send me your e mail and I will forward photos.

I got rid of one that was new to John Bell up in Canada, he was trying to peddle it, it was brand new and did not fit my speedster with the rajo, It had come with it in a box when I purchased it.
