Post by ModelT46 » Fri May 22, 2020 2:04 pm

a solid unit, but some rust. Key 66 and seems to work nice. Comes with key. used on non starter Model Ts from 1919-25. $8 to ship in box. So it is $48 postpaid.

Starter switches control the source of the voltage and in later models the lights. The purpose of the dimmer is to manage the voltage to the lights. As you can see in this non-starter wiring diagram the ammeter is eliminated. The starter diagram has a wire from the coil to the ammeter and then to the starter and horn switches. Will it work? If the switch works and you wire it correctly (with or without the ammeter) then yes. If the dimmer works then the lights would work too

What a shame to break up a really rare part when regular ones are so common and reproduced, to boot

I'll take it as is, if it's still available Darel - as long as the key cylinder is O.K.
