Backordered NH Float Valve Install tools available - Last Call

Post by Scott_Conger » Wed Jun 10, 2020 1:41 pm

If you believe you are on my "Wait List" and have NOT received a personal email from me this AM, then I've screwed up and have lost your contact info and ask that you let me know. In any event I have some in stock and am waiting to hear from you. Thank you.

Scott, I'm glad you're making those, Jack Daron made a zillion of them and sold them and gave them away. He is long gone and I don't know of anybody making them other than you.

I can't see the handle end but I'm going to make a suggestion if you haven't already thought of it.

Center drill the handle end for a tapered or pointed punch or whatever that will fit in the chuck on a drill press.

Hold the carb in a vise on the table, insert the tool, line it up with the chuck with the taper (A center punch works great) and put down pressure from the drill press on the tool while you are removing the seat. It will stop it from slipping and jumping out of the slot.

An alternative is to reduce the diameter on the handle end to 3/8 so it will fit in virtually any drill press chuck. Clamp it in, put down pressure on it and it will remove the seat.

I have probably a dozen different chisels ground to specific sizes for removing seats from carbs. It has to be one of the best things I ever thought of doing.

I appreciate folks interest. However, I can only keep track of what I need to have ready at a given time, or perform follow-up communication unless folks will send me an email (not a PM).

Please send an email if you have not heard from me yet.

And if anyone is wondering, based on response, I made more and they are available. Metal shipping costs is a killer and the more metal you buy, the price reduction on material pales in comparison to increase in shipping costs, so I do NOT stock a lot of material and do not have infinite capacity to make product to let it sit on the shelf, so if you're interested in one, I have some, and now is the time to ask.

Right now, they are $40 each to your door.

As always, thank you very much.

About 2/3 of the folks who have expressed an interest in these have contacted me but of those, few have followed up. Thus, I have my entire last production run available as well as some of the originals that generated this ad. I made more based on responses and they're sitting on the shelf. They're not listed by dealers and I don't offer a catalogue. If I have stuff, I have stuff and when it's gone, it's gone.

thanks for looking, and please contact me via EMAIL for my address.

Once more. These are worth every penny. If you ever change a float valve, get one. Thanks for making these.

Last call to buy
There is no point bumping over the myriad of ads that are posted
After July 4, they will be available only as an option when buying Full Flow Float Valves, and not by themselves.

Please email me directly if you are interested
