28x3 tires wanted
I’m looking for an original set of 28x3 tires for display use on an original vehicle. Early fords used that tire size so I figure this might be a handy spot to post. I posted a wanted add before the pandemic hit and got a few responses but nothing worked out. If you have a pair of original brass era 28x3 or 28x2 1/2 tires, give me a call 831-278-2742
Thank you,
Daniel
Ps always looking for original flying Merkel parts.

Do you need one, or the other, or both? Those are two different rim diameters. 28x3 is a 22" rim and 28x2-1/2 is a 23" rim.FlyingMerkel wrote: ↑Sun Aug 09, 2020 6:53 pmIf you have a pair of original brass era 28x3 or 28x2 1/2 tires, give me a call....

I have rims needing both sizes but that’s sharp of you to know the difference between the two sizes! I will look into posting on the early ford registry as well.

Re: 28x3 tires wanted
I figured you knew but just thought I'd ask as it seems to be a common mistake. It's can't hurt to ask on the EFR but placing a WTB ad on the HCCA Classifieds might get you more results, particularly for the 2-1/2"

That’s a good idea too, I’ll look into the HCCA forum.

Not so much the forum, but the classifieds -- the forum has a broadcast signal that goes 2,500 miles.... straight up. The classifieds see a lot more activity:FlyingMerkel wrote: ↑Tue Aug 11, 2020 11:25 amThat’s a good idea too, I’ll look into the HCCA forum.
