Best Wax for Black Urethane

Post by SurveyKing » Thu Aug 27, 2020 12:15 pm

I know this will probably generate a lot of different suggestions, but I am wanting to know what would be good wax to put on a Gloss Black Single Stage Urethane Enamel finish on my car. Thanks for any recommendations.

Ha Ha, but seriously, I would stick with Mequire's products, the usually do not have silicones in them. Do avoid products with silicone in it, it will cause problems down the road. The "quick-wax-polish products usually have silicone in them. Of course, you could go with good old-fashioned Paste Wax.
Of course, all of this is Just IMHO, and what do I know??
T'ake care,

Mequire's Black Wax is what I use on all my black paint jobs. Be sure to use NEW microfiber towels to buff off the wax, and if you drop one on the ground, throw it away.
