Another Set Ford Sidelite brackets FS

Post by Dan Hatch » Tue Feb 19, 2019 5:08 pm

Here is another set of Ford, NOT repro side lite brackets. These are for TT and wooden body T cars. I will take $45.00 + shipping for this set also. PM me or email from my profile. To make it easy here is email danielhFOUR6TWOATcenturytel.net You will need to change the FOUR to a 4 and TWO to a 2 and you know what to do with the AT. Thanks, Dan.

Hey Dan! I am fairly sure that those brackets were originally used on the cenrter-door sedans 1915 through '18. I restored a '16 many years ago, and researched that as well as the pre-internet and Henry Ford archive days would allow. I and several others had come to the conclusion (mostly from original era photos that were not quite clear enough) that those type were used on the early center-door sedans. It was about fifteen years after I had sold my center-door sedan that someone found and I saw online a wonderfully clear photo of an early center-door showing for certain it had those holding the sidelamps.
I do not know what the couplets used in those years. I suspect it was the shorter version of that bracket.
Those brackets did remain available through the Ford dealers (and others) for many years, and were often used on TTs and car chassis depot hacks and delivery trucks.

Thanks Wayne. I got these in a lot of parts that were NOS from Ford dealers in the 50's. There were many Brass era stuff in the lot. I have some NOS Early Rear Frame cross members in the pile. Look like pre 13. Dan
