Re: '27 fuel tank wanted.
Joseph, I brought home a friends Touring car with the intent of getting it running it has sat 28 years & the tank is just nasty. One problem is he unfortunately is a serious victim of covid-19. I would be fronting any expense for a while. I know good tanks are getting hard to find & I think replacing is the better option for the car, if you would forward pictures to my email so I may look it over. Thank you George

Re: '27 fuel tank wanted.
I just took a look at the link posted for the “new aluminum tank” for $750. I wonder if they’ve sold any and I wonder if it fits properly? The welding looks very disappointing, like it was done by someone with very little experience...
$300-$400 is a fair retail price to pay for a nice used original cowl tank that is clean inside, has no pitting, is not coated with anything inside, is leak-tested, and ready to use.

Check with a radiator shop about coating it. If it not rotten, cheap way to go. Dan

Re: '27 fuel tank wanted.
George, I have an extra 1927 gas tank. Find photos attached. If you like it, just pay the shipping.
It does have rust inside but looks to be very sound.

Re: '27 fuel tank wanted.
Hard to beat that offer, the one I was going to offer has the majority of the original black paint on the outside, but it does have surface and loose rust on the inside needing a good cleaning before it can be used
