Most of you in the Model T hobby know me; I have been rebuilding Model T Ford ignition coils for over 30 years, rebuilt over 25,000 coils and have hundreds of satisfied customers all over the world.
Here is what you can reasonably expect; properly rebuilt coils will operate correctly for about 7500 miles and then start to falter due to normal coil point wear. At that point you only need to have the points replaced and adjusted at a reduced cost.
You should also understand that the Model T Ford electrical system is comprised of subsystems. Rebuilt coils are only one of those subsystems. If you still have ignition troubles, we are here to provide professional advice to find and repair problems with the other subsystems (i.e. timer, wiring, coilbox and Magneto) so the entire ignition system works correctly.
We offer the experienced Model T Ford electrical system services available and know how to make the Model T Ford ignition system, FA (Fred Allison) starting and lighting system work as was originally intended.

Welcome to Michigan! The Petoskey area is one of the most beautiful areas in northwestern Michigan, and that is true for all four seasons! You will enjoy the Lake Michigan vistas and have the satisfaction of living in an area that others view as a vacation destination. Petoskey and the surrounding area has everything you need for great living and I know you'll enjoy it. If you haven't had a chance, be sure to visit the "tunnel of trees" and stop in Harbor Springs for some of "Tom's Mom's" chocolate-cherry chip cookies! There are some great Model T'ers in the area so you won't lack for those who share your interests. On behalf of all Michigan Model Ter's let me welcome you to our state.

Ron - If you have long-standing ties with that part of Michigan, you are no doubt aware of this, but there is a website called "The Leland Report", originally started long ago by Keith Burnham and one of his sons, who is now gradually becoming more and involved with the running of The Leland Report due to Keith's advancing age and declining health. I mention this because you'll find that The Leland Report an on-going site with a wealth of information about the part of Michigan (Leland & Leelanau County) that you are moving near to. Congratulations on your move to a very beautiful part of out country & Michigan in particular. Keith calls it "The Land of Delight", and if you don't know why, you're soon to find out due to relocating there. Ron, enjoy that "upper part of the Lower Peninsula"...all kidding aside about the winters, it is a gorgeous area. Interesting there's a small town called Bay View nearby, just as we do here in Ohio. Been decades since I was up in the U.P., yet another drop dead gorgeous area. Eric, you are correct too!

Cross Village population = 93. Michigan video makes it look like a great Model T area. Take your time and drive all day.

I live in Southwest Michigan and Michigan is a great place to drive old cars. There are newer main roads for modern cars, but the old roads are still there and you can take long trips at 30-35 mph and see some of the best scenery in the world. I drive my 1914 touring on my 25 mile round trip to work without much traffic or worry. Well, I do have to worry about hitting squirrels, racoons and deer.

Michale. You didn't say where you were moving to. This thread originally covered Ron Patterson's move to Petoskey in NW Michigan. As to movers, I've had good experiences with Two Men and a Truck.
