FOR SALE: KRW PISTON ROD ALIGNMENT TOOL aka SEA LION

Post by StevenS » Sun Dec 27, 2020 12:11 pm

FOR SALE: KRW PISTON ROD ALIGNMENT TOOL aka "SEA LION" This is the hard to find piece.
The price in $125 and that includes shipping to the lower 48 states. Shipping elsewhere will need to be calculated. I do not have the base, but other bases will work. With the base the rod attaches too, this "sea lion" tool sits on the piston pin (both directions) to check if the rod is bent or twisted.

Steven, I am interested in this tool but I need more knowledge of its requirements, capabilities, and method of use. If others show interest, take their names but I would like to have first option.
Thank you,

You will need the base the rod mounts to, but this post should cover what it does;

Ken,

Goto this link and scroll 1/2 way down to the red alignment tool (Allen's Post). That will show you the setup and what it will measure and how to measure. I have a different base than what is shown, but as long as the base is similar, you can use that base. I actually use a base that is not a KRW base, but the connecting rod held in the same manner, and I measure off the wrist pin the same way.

Let me know what you decide.
