Nice Unrestored Standard Brass Horn 1914

Post by Rodger Erickson » Sun Jan 10, 2021 9:42 am

FS one nice unrestored "Standard" brass horn, correct for 1914 (and possibly late 1913.) A few dings are present but the metal is quite solid. The grille and screen are still intact as well. Asking $135 + shipping. Thanks for looking.

Nice horn. Gotta love the "hood crease" in the elbow. I bet that's typical for 90% of these horns, especially if they're mounted
in the correct position. The hood's always being dropped on 'em! Part of the story. If it were my horn, I wouldn't touch it. In fact,
the one on my '13 also has a small crease for the same reason. It's staying!

Tim,
Good observation - I didn't think of that. Probably a good idea to leave it for a car that's driven a lot... with my luck I'd pay to have it straightened and then bang a new dent in that very spot the next day!

EXACTLY!! At least that's how my luck runs! Like they used to say on "Hee-Haw", "if it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all"!!
Have a good day
