Re: FS POWER TAKEOFF ADAPTORS
Jonah,
On the tail of the engine. Typically used on stationary power plants. The units with the drums make it so a belt can be attached to used to power various accessories like washing machines, grain mills or silo feeds. Some have used them to run ice cream churns. I’m in favor of the latter. Certainly tastier in my opinion.

The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

Re: FS POWER TAKEOFF ADAPTORS
The top two pictures in Franks post above are actually kits that were manufactured by Theiman Harvester Company of Albert City Iowa. The pulley in Caffin’s first post (the one that isn’t sold yet does appear to be the factory made pulley for the Theiman setup. I recognized it because I have two of those power units.

Re: FS POWER TAKEOFF ADAPTORS
The Thieman unit is really nice. If it’s like the ones I have, there is a Timken roller bearing and sleeve inside.

Re: FS POWER TAKEOFF ADAPTORS
Hi Tim,
It may be sold. Just provided a quote for shipping to another member. Pretty pricey! Waiting for a reply. I'll let you know if they take a pass.
