Rear wire wheel mount for touring car
I am looking for what I call a goose neck mounting bracket for a spare wire wheel for a touring car, mounted in the rear. Please let me know if you may have one for sale. I think these were use on 26/27 and I want to mount it on my 1924 touring car I just put wire wheels on. I really don't see any reason why it won't work. I might be wrong about the fit, as I often times am!
Thanks
Tom
Thanks

I could be wrong, but I think it went for less than $60.00; certainly less than $75.00. Others on EBAY, currently are priced as if they were gold plated.

Tom
I put one on my 1920 Touring and it works fine. I drove the car from Milwaukee to Detroit and back so I know it works. The biggest problem is finding the longer spring clamps so you can install nuts and still have room for the cotters. Going price is 75-100.

I sold the one on Ebay. I believe it may have been NOS. It sold for $78. I have no idea what the "going price" on an item like this is. I didn't pay much for it and was happy to get the $78. Good luck, there out there.

I was watching it but I have one and that was a quite reasonable price - normal price $100 +. One needs the 9 leave rear spring u-bolts off a '26 - '27 - I have a pair for mine - I'll measure them.

Re: Rear wire wheel mount for touring car
I made the first bid but knew it was going to cost (item + shipping + tax) more than I wanted to pay . BUT it was a beaut

Re: Rear wire wheel mount for touring car
I had to give $100 for one a few years ago and then ended up with an extra one in some parts I bought. I would need to check but I think it was bent but if it is able to be used it could be for sale.

Re: Rear wire wheel mount for touring car
Hey Tom., I have this one. It was shortened to fit on a pre '26-'27 touring. It was used on my '22 touring. I made some changes to the T and no longer need it. I'd like $75 for it plus the shipping. If you'd like, I can ship it to you to see if you like the way it fits. If so, send me the money. If not, send it back. Give me a holler if you're interested. I'm in Prescott, AZ.

Tom, That's a fair deal. You can't beat a deal like that with a stick.old_charley wrote: ↑Mon Mar 08, 2021 9:44 pmHey Tom., I have this one. It was shortened to fit on a pre '26-'27 touring. Charlie and I made a deal for his. He’s a great guy. Once he gets the check, it will head to KY.
Thanks Charlie!
