reconditioned Model T connecting rods

Post by Gene_French » Fri Mar 26, 2021 6:18 pm

these connecting rods are old inventory from a auto parts store ... i purchased several sets from an obsolete inventory sale ... they are STANDARD diameter , are X grooved and the cap and rod webb are drilled as oil inlet or exit ports ... the rod bolts appear as new and are of the original configuration ... these were a very high quality connecting rod sold as a repair or rebuild component in years long past ...as with ALL connecting rods , i recommend that they be checked for alignment before installation ... these currently measure 1.2485 diameter ... box's are tattered ,but are marked as STD. ... sold OUTRIGHT , NO EXCHANGE needed ... price for set of 4 is $280 + $15.50 postage in lower 48 states ... actual postage outside this area ... payment by paypal preferred ... i have been asked "why standard diameter when most of our crankshafts require re-grind" ... my thoughts are ,with many people installing a Skat or other aftermarket crankshaft ,these are an excellent choice ... also , they were probably in storage 50 or more years ... back in 1970 we had many T engines with standard crankshafts ... these were a simple maintenance item then ... hope this answers the question of why ... always an optimist ...Gene French
