WTB Convex Glass Lens for Spotlights

Post by DontKnowMuch » Wed Mar 24, 2021 5:16 pm

I am looking for a replacement lens for a Clymer through the windshield spotlight. It is 4 1/4" in diameter. Do you know of a good source of these types of glass lenses?

Thanks

I don't know about suppliers, but a source of lenses suggested before is those from clocks.

another idea; some of the older large 6 volt ( with screw top terminals ) lantern type flashlights have a convex glass that may be a fit.

I was out doing a promotional drive for the Chocolate company today, and called in to the old car parts dealer looking for a straight through fuel tap. In my search I found a nice thick lens and nickel plated brass retaining rim, probably from an Appleton spotlight. Nice order but 4 and 5/8" diameter. Now I have to find a light to suit, or if anyone needs it, that would save me the trouble. $40 plus postage.
